Briannon Johnson
Stonecreek Farm
Briannon has been a successful FEI competitor since the age of 14 in the FEI Junior, FEI Young Rider and Advanced divisions. She has also worked with countless developing horses. She has been the recipient of Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal Awards from Dressage Canada as well as the winner of over 40 National Level Awards, received the prestigious "Eight Award" from Dressage Canada for outstanding position and effective rider aids and is a former Canadian Team Member from the 2004 "Challenge of the America's". She has acheived scores over 80% in the National Ring and over 70% in the FEI Ring and has dedicated her life to persuing excellence and building a fantastic training program here at Stonecreek Farm.
Briannon began riding in 2001. With her first horse Touch of Gold she excelled in the dressage ring, resulting in the acquisition of an additional mount. In the fall of 2002, La Valse was purchased, and Briannon set out on her goal to learn all that she could from the schoolmaster, while still competing both horses equally.
For four years Briannon progressed through the levels with both horses, from Training Level through to a very successful Young Rider campaign in 2006. During that time she was fortunate enough to take part in many clinics with such acclaimed international dressage riders as Cynthia Ishoy, Neil Ishoy, Kathy Amos Jacob and Belinda Trussel.
In December 2006 Briannon and her family re-located to Stonecreek Farm where she could lay the foundations and begin the necessary training to pursue her future goals.
In 2007 Briannon began training with 3 time Olympian and Level 3 coach Gina Smith as well as Canadian Team Member and Level 3 coach Susanne Dutt-Roth.
Since relocating to Stonecreek Farm, Briannon has forged a solid training strategy and program for her horses as well as her students. The results speak for themselves as year after year her group of horses and riders continue to progress and grow, to huge success and praise from judges, fellow riders, trainers and officials.
Her future goals include representing
Canada at the 2019 Pan American Games.
